The Island in Pigeon Forge is a sprawling entertainment complex that is not only home to unique shops and fantastic restaurants, but fun amusement rides for all ages! You’ll notice the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel before you even arrive at the park, which stands 200 feet tall and offers spectacular views of the area! However, you’ll also discover everything from thrill rides to children’s attractions for the youngest ones in your family! Here are the top 4 things to know about The Island in Pigeon Forge rides:
The amusement rides at The Island in Pigeon Forge range from mild to wild, making it a perfect day out for families! Children will enjoy driving their own tractor on the Island FARM’n, taking a traditional merry-go-round ride on the Flying Horse Carousel, and bouncing around on the Lil’ Ribbits! Meanwhile, thrillseekers will have a blast going head over heels on the Dance Party 360 pendulum ride, plummeting to the ground on the 65-foot Tree Fall Drop Tower and spinning in circles on the Reverse Time! Of course, no amusement park is complete without a rollercoaster, so hop aboard the Spinning Parrots Coaster that features rotating seats!
The great thing about The Island in Pigeon Forge is that there is no entry or parking fee, so non-riders won’t have to pay a dime! While you can purchase tickets to each individual attraction, the best deal is the Unlimited Rides Pass! This convenient and affordable pass includes all of the outdoor rides for 48 hours, so you can ride as much as you want for two full days of family fun! For a nominal additional fee, you can upgrade the Unlimited Rides Pass to include the Island Ropes Course and Quick Jump attractions!
Another one of the top things to know about The Island in Pigeon Forge rides is that parents ride for free as a chaperone on the park’s 7 family rides for children under 42 inches tall! As long as your child has an Unlimited Rides Pass, you can keep them company on some of the fun attractions that are designed just for toddlers! Just keep in mind that chaperones are required to purchase a ticket for the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel and the Island Ropes Course.
Most of The Island in Pigeon Forge rides, including the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel and Island Ropes Course, continue operations despite some rainy weather. Of course, if there are heavy winds or lightning, ride operations will be temporarily suspended. Keep in mind that there are no refunds for inclement weather on the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, but other rides will be reloaded onto your Unlimited Wristband for another time and are still valid for a full 48 hours!
