An attraction many people love in the area is the Gatlinburg Sky Park. It’s been around for years, and some people don’t consider it a full trip to Gatlinburg unless they’ve ridden the chair lift! You can’t come to the Smokies without visiting the aquarium! There are several exhibits with unique and beautiful creatures, from fish to crabs to sharks. Kids will love the interactive portions of the aquarium, and no matter how old you are, you’ll have a blast!
Anakeetsa is another Gatlinburg attraction you won’t want to skip when you’re in the area. There are several things to do at Anakeesta, from restaurants to fun things to do. You can relax and look out at the mountains while sitting on benches and rocking chairs. Walk through the Vista Gardens to see all kinds of plants, or go on the Treetop SkyWalk and watch zipliners pass by overhead. Go on the dueling zipline and race your family and friends or ride the mountain coaster. There are also several shops and places to eat at Anakeesta.
Ober Mountain is a great place to visit any time of the year! During the winter, you can go skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. In the summer, you can go mountain biking, climb the rock wall, and play in the outdoor maze. Any time of the year, you can ice skate or ride on the ice bumper cars. A really popular thing to do at Ober is ride the Aerial Tramway from downtown to the Tramway Mall, where you will see beautiful mountain views the entire ride. You should play Hillybilly Golf when you’re in Gatlinburg! Your whole family will have a blast riding to the top of the hill and choosing between two courses. They are mountain themed, and you will find all kinds of cool features, including a replica of a moonshine still!
